WOW, a twin Hots.......................I LOVE it..:big_yes: BTW, I like the plane in your Avatar. It's kind of hard to tell, but it looks like a Deception. David

    Weeks Solution

Tim, Here another picture of my Buddy's Weeks where you can see the vents he added for the spark plug caps to the right of where you see "3W-70B2". The cowl is attached to F1 by screws and blind nuts and are accessible from the front opening in the cowl. My Buddy did tell me that taking the...

    Weeks Solution

Hey Tim, I sure do. The plane has a 3W70 twin stuffed inside a slightly "altered" cowl. The 3W is AWESOME in the Weeks. My buddy widened the cowl in the front for the twin. The cowl also has a couple of side "vents" that are actually there for the spark plug boots. I will load a picture...

    waco ymf 33%

I remember that plane when I used to frequent one of the "Other" R/C sites. If I remember correctly, it's either a 33% or 40% AMR Waco with a Moki radial in it. I never tire of seeing pictures of that plane. Shaked Israel did an AWESOME job on it......:yesss: David

    Weeks Solution

Hey Tim, Here's a little inspiration for you. It's not mine (even though I wish it was). It's a Solution X that belongs to my best friend and I will attest that it is the best flying biplane that I've ever seen.

    Ziroli AT-6 Texan Engine Options

Hey Cherrybomb, Will the Saito 84 gas fit in it? If it does, I bet it would sound great in it and pull it around very well. David

+ 100000000000000 to what Stangflyer said. I'll contribute too, a little later. I don't mind paying to participate in an awesome R/C site like this. I've been a member on RCSB for years and I've enjoyed every minute of it. David

Is it just me or does the landing gear on Crashflow's Extra look like it's on backwards. It must be the camera angle......:confused??: David

New Great Planes 50-65cc Pitts M12

Hey BarracudaHockey, I hope you get one too. I'll look forward to your write up in Fly R/C. I'm curious with regards to what Great Planes recommends for servos. I've got enough Futaba 9155's and a Futaba 9156 for the rudder with a 2 cell LiFe pack for the receiver and I'd believe those servos...

New Great Planes 50-65cc Pitts M12

I really like the Checkmate. The only problem with it is that my twin will not fit in the cowl, so I'd have to buy another motor. I'm still hoping Great Planes comes through Hey Stangflyer, can I be your friend?............................:LOL_gif: David

New Great Planes 50-65cc Pitts M12

That's the one. I don't know why they would advertise it and then say "it was no longer available". While I was at the LHS, I asked the owner to look it up for me and he didn't find anything on it either. Hopefully, they eventually will release it. If they don't, I just may have to buy the...

    ARF shelf life?

You may want to consider buying a new carb kit for the Walbro and rebuilding the carb on your Brison. If you buy fuel with ethanol, your old diaphragm may not appreciate it...:ugh: David

New Great Planes 50-65cc Pitts M12

Anybody else out there seen this new plane? I was in the LHS last night and I saw an advertisement for it inside the back cover of the latest Fly R/C magazine. Looks like I may have to call AI and order a 3W70 CS twin for it. I just LOVE biplanes with round cowls.............:yesss: David

    Savox 2230 info

Knife Edge, It's may be just because your battery voltage may be a little high. I've seen most other brand servos do the same thing on the first flight of the day with a freshly charged receiver battery. David

Thanks for the compliments Stangflyer.......:big-grin: I'll share them with my Buddy. You're right about the 3W being the best part of the plane. That motor is over 20 years old and it pulls that plane around like crazy. It will hover the plane at about 1/3 throttle. Hopefully mine will...

I know what you mean about wanting to save weight. A good friend of mine has a 50cc AMR stick that he put an older 3W78 twin on it and the plane balanced almost perfectly. Here's a pic of it My apologies to everyone for taking the thread off topic. David

Hello Cbarnes0061, Thanks for the motivation..............:big-grin: That's a nice looking Stick you got there. Looks like a Great Planes Giant Stick. I just LOVE Sticks..... Since I was fortunate enough for a friend to give me an old RCM trainer to learn to fly on, I saved a little...
