    I had the Pilot 107" Decathlon with a DA50 and it was a lot of fun to fly, that 61 might be a little much for it, you might want to ask around to see if anyone's put a 61 in the 107" version

    the real Bird Dog has big old flaps! as i understand it, it was that contract with the government that gave them the money to develop really good flaps that they then put on all of their other GA planes.

    The best thing about building right now is that if you don't have to have the latest thing (like a very nice Viper kit from TerrysCustom or an IMAC worthy Carden or Dalton), second hand kit prices are the lowest they've ever been. Lanier kits fly great and can be had for a song, I bought my 81"...

    lots of stuff out there about Easy Tiger, some good , some bad but the bad stuff is really odd and there's a ton of conflicting info. Buyer beware but lots of cool planes, too many to not at least consider it if he's got what you really want.

    sometimes it works out doing this and sometimes it doesn't. reading through that Walbro carb service manual makes it clear there are a lot of tiny little details in a carb that can give you grief and so why kill what could end up being hours tinkering when you could just hunker down, fix it...
