Well that is it for me and OS engine they are not what they use to be have a OS max-55AX and after one and half seasons it is done. It started to run bad about 6 flights ago and progressively got worse And a lot noisier. So decided to have a look inside. After disassembling the motor found the chrome or what ever they use coming off the liner, it is toast will not buy a new piston and liner because I cannot find out if they have fixed the problem. Too bad I always like OS.

That's a shame. The only nitro engines I like are the Saito 4-strokes. They are getting really pricey though:-/

Do you know anything about the sleeve problems OS is having at the moment. I would like to buy a new sleev and piston but only if they have fixed the problem.

I can get you one for $80 but I'm not sure what it would cost to ship to Canada.
But I have no idea if it's any different than the stock one.

geeze! I flew the snot out of my 55ax on a mojo 40, had a Saito 72 on it before that. 55ax had a great power/weight ratio. Saito 82 would be the ticket... ouch they are expensive now. Mounted one on my H9 P-40 but never flew it (had a 72 on it before that was worn from the mojo lol). That 82 and a OS 120 Gemini are my last two nitro engines... I should probably try to ebay those bad boys.

I have a couple of my uncle’s Saitos that I need to get rid of. One is a 65? I think….

My experience with a 55ax was awesome. Very strong on a pipe. I still have it somewhere……

I hear both sides run great and all I can say my 55AX ran great good power never let me down always started And ran great. Until the nickel coating started to separate from the sleeve. Not sure if there is just a batch that is bad or what. In the process of asking OS for some help before ordering a new sleeve and piston.
