Laminar airflow wings? Lofted Fuselage? Side exiting exhaust? Precession should only come into play if you are using the elevator or the rudder. Rolling a plane should not cause any precession?? Maybe if you roll left you could bump the throttle at 90 degrees so as to gain a little upward...

Interesting to see how thick the AJ Laser wing is..... So how does a plane like this perform a slow roll without any input other than aileron? What keeps the nose up as you roll to KE?

What is it that the ARFs can not match? I mean, the ARFs seem to be built extremely well these days. I have never seen one of these things so I don't know....

    Extreme Flight Owners Thread

I believe the reason for the delayed shipping quote is because they charge you exactly what the shipping costs. I may be wrong, but with a shipping calculator, the company overestimates the cost and you pay. EF's idea is to keep the shipping as low as possible by only charging exactly what it...

    YELLOW JACKET 6 CELL 22.2v 3750mAh 40c REVIEW - by kevinjulieevan

Good point 3dNater. Any pack that is constantly stressed IS going to have a shortened life span. Chris Jewett flies his 60" planes at full bore 85% of the time. He goes through lipos like a drill sergeant and insults!

Akfreak, What was outcome of that? Seems to me the bi-plane should be buying that guy a new one? Was the b-plane damaged?

In Response to 3DNater: Food for thought (Not an opinion, just thoughts). It can be argued that Rand is exactly right. But not for the reason most people would think. I remember watching a movie starring Bill Murray where he went on some sort of philosophical journey (don't remember much of...

    Joe Smith quits 3DHS!

Interesting to hear people complaining about the shipping of an Extreme Flight plane. One thing I know for certain is that EF charges you, the end user, exactly what i costs them, the supplier, to ship their planes. They make $0.00 on shipping. In fact it could be argued that they lose mont...

    Joe Smith quits 3DHS!

I am not sure what you mean. What I was referring to is that chris has always been more then happy to bring a propller, esc and motor, or a whole airframe to a show so that I can save on shipping! Only attitude you get from Chris is the one that asks "how can I help?"

AP, I am sure you are correct concerning the reduction in drag in high alpha. But the long and short of it is that the only thing these shark tooth VGs will do in a practical sense is to give slightly more control authority in high alpha

The shark tooth leading edge is designed as a vortex generator. I have done some experiments with them, they do make a noticeable difference in control authority, but they typically add drag in all flight envelopes. The cool thing about these shark teeth is that they do not add much of any...

The gyro is not designed to make the plane fly straight and level. It is designed to make it fly straight, not matter what attitude it is in. It does not care what level is. All you are doing is teaching it the throws of your plane.

Willig 10, I don't own that radio. But it sounds like what you really need is help from someone who knows the radio well, not really someone who knows the Cortex. Try finding a thread here or elsewhere on that specific radio, tell them what you are doing, and ask them how to set up a gyro (any...

Yellow Jackets Receiver Packs; What's your preference?

Thanks Gary. Mike, I assume these ignition packs would be of very low C rating?
