    With all the talk about CG I think I am going to lay things out like this... Done so far. Rudder servo tray cut in deck. Motor box and leading deck sealed with clear fuel proof paint. DA-120 mounted and throttle linkage done. Landing gear. What smoke pumps are your favorite for the DA-120?

    Not sure I get your logic. The HS-M7990TH is only 10 more grams or 10% heavier than a 2270. Two 2270s at 140 grams are heavier than the 79 grams of the Hitec. I think the Hitec may be a negative because of the lack of weight if you like to hover around and generate good tail inertia for pop...

    Yep, good catch...but with the specs and the 20% larger size than a typical servo it should be called the HS-MoFo77777779999990TH.

    List is almost as much as 2 good servos at $175 with the single servo tray all in it is around $300, but this time of year I did not pay that exactly.

    Based on GYRO and others I changed up my rudder servo setup to a single HS-M7790TH with a Seacraft servo tray. This monster has 610in-oz. But have seen a test on TBM that shows it pulling a little less than 500in-oz. Regardless for a single rudder servo on this plane it should be good enough.

    By believing the specification sheet for each, the Savox 2270 and the HSB-9380 are close to the same servo. Savox has 5% less torque at 444in-oz but 14% more speed in a package that is 1 gram heavier. For me these are the same servo made by different companies. And yes I know all the math...

    I just got the call from FedEx freight. Monday at 1pm for my white one. MadInPensacola, before you trash the boxes look for the rudder pin. They are notoriously hard to find taped to the inside of the fuse box.
