    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Thanks for sharing Ryan and nice flying... Interesting to see how it does when it gets broken in. It clearly did better when the fuel burned down on pull outs, but it appears to lack some low end grunt.

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

My 4330 on a 10.25lb plane rivals the 4315-480 in my 60" EXPs... Might even surpass. Need a size between the 4330 and 5335 to get close to the performance in a 12.5lb plane, IMO. Interested to see how the 35 performs after broken in, but I think it will leaves some to be desired, especially...

    Servo bench testing

I haven't heard of this issue before and I would think guys have been running power safe rxa for a few years with brushless servos. Anyone ever have any issues with servos other then the Hitecs?

Interesting... What lipos were you using when you did testing with the power safe?

    Servo bench testing

Don't know if there were any differences with servos but it leads me to believe that the power safe RX on two a lipos is a better power supply then the BEC pro set to 8.5v. I had 516oz-in on a the fresh lipos vs your 450oz-in on he BEC.

    Servo bench testing

Well I just got five Futaba BLS-172SV servos for the EF 91 Extra. They peaked at 516oz-in and about 6.5A A few things I like better then the MKS HV777: It's brushless 38 oz-in more torque Much more quiet... Nearly dead silent in normal operation Slow to center when powered on... Less wear and...

Hopper, another to consider is power supply to the receiver side of the of the radio system. With not enough power it's possible a sag in voltage from a binding servo, burning servo, or a inadequate BEC went below 3.1V and caused a brownout. I had a 65mg burn up and cause a 5A internal Castle...

12S power systems ideas and options

Thanks... Will do on the CG. I think I will be ok having the batteries at the firewall, but I will know soon enough.

12S power systems ideas and options

Mine is pretty secure in the mesh fastened at the front and back of the ESC. Tested with batts at storage and voltage and no load RPM from the telemetry gave me 187.5kV for the 5335.

12S power systems ideas and options

Finished running power system wires on my 91" extra... Still need to secure wires from the firewall back, but the time consuming part is done. Included are RPM sensor, temp sensor, and battery voltage sensor. Would have liked to monitor temp on the motor like I do on the MF4315, but the way the...

My buddy Dean flying his DA 120 powered 104" slick. Sorry for all the editing flight was 15 min long so I was trying to shorten it up. DA 120 is a beast and pulls it around nicely. I was fortunate enough to get two 15 minute flights on her... All I could say is I really want a 100cc now. It was...

DM 5335 (50cc size Electric) made by Subsonic Planes

I too got my standoffs from Craig at Customstandoffs.com... The $7 he charges for the 8 bolts, washers and lock washers to go with the standoffs is worth it, IMO. Very nice quality and fast service.

Totally it's by far my second favorite... You were just asking about the edge and MXS. And I mentioned the Extra because that is what you were replacing. Yeah the laser is a sweet bird and I plan on always having a Extra and laser around unless another 60" EXP comes around. Only room for two...

I've owned all the 60" birds and would replace my extra in a heartbeat... That said the mxs and edge are sweet too. If I could have one of the two it would be edge, but the mxs tracks better, IMO.

I just got done flying two 15minute flights on a 104" slick and two on a 100cc PAU Edge... Both powered with a DA 120. Building my 50cc EF Extra and all I can say I want a 100cc EF Extra to go with it now. DA 120 is a beast.
