I used some 1/8 ply to cover the rear cabin top. I also used the F2 that came with the kit and not needed, to add a center support for the tow release. I should have moved the tow release another 1/4 inch forward, so the servo was on the face of F6, I thought it would be, but missed. I might...- Stevendavis

Got some work on the Cub done today. Got the wing tube sleeve cut up to proper lengths and installed the center section in the fuse. I also glued in F16, and used the left over ply doubler to add a front piece.- Stevendavis

Balsa sands really easy with a 150 grt. Just use short strokes and be mindful of where you apply pressure to the sanding bar. Quick and easy!!- Stevendavis

I think this kit uses the wire V-brace for both. It was pretty wiggly side to side before I added it, and there's not much, as noted, holding the top on. Since I added the wing tube, I hope it doesn't shift the stress point. It feels pretty solid now, with the brace. Nick, That is some scary...- Stevendavis

Did a little work today and found another issue. The template that came with my Robart gear doesn't match up with the gear, so double check it if you use it. I used it before I glued the gear plate in, so I'll have to fix it. Got the tail gear plate installed. I recessed it a bit. The Hanger 9...- Stevendavis

Got the front wire brace in place. Hope it will hold up, as it is the structural integrity of the front cabin top. Has anyone got any advice? I plan on using a lock nut on it and glue! I also have a tow hook I'd like to use on this Cub, but I would have to leave the top fin off. I had to heat up...- Stevendavis

I used the 3/16 round stock included with the kit for the top sides, but ripped some 1/4 x 1/2 spruce down to 3/16 x 3/16 for the side...- Stevendavis
