    If your radio has plenty of channels, I’d use 4 mini servos. As for power, if you already have a good collection of bigger batteries and chargers, I’d go that route. If not, I think a DLE 20 would work well. I’m not a big fan of nitro.

    Just paint a coat of clear on it or fuel-proof. I have and have had lots of birds with cardboard tubes. Never had an issue. They always seem to outlast my flying anyway. :p

    The cardboard will be fine. The strength comes from the carbon inner tube. The sleeve just guides the carbon into the wings.

    I had high hopes for Moustache Model Works. But after hearing about all the issues you're having I think I'll steer clear of them. The last laser cut kit I built was from Mountain Models and it was absolutely fabulous.

    If all you’re doing is charging batteries then a 2000 watt should be more than enough. And they are half the weight.
