    There are 2 primary boring bar holder designs that l liked (read minimal metal skills). I chose this one, at least temporarily. Drilled, tapped and ready to go.

    Anyway, to make a correct size opening for the die I found out I will need a boring bar. Well, that needs a holder so here I go. I'll start with a 1" square piece of steel. Square means 4 jaw chuck and at 8" its heavy. I protect the ways with lumber just in case of an ooopsie...

    Not wanting to blow up Steve's lathe thread so started my own. I want to make a die holder for a die that seems to be a size that I have no holder for. I've been using my mini mill to hold the little 2-56 die.

    Still on this arf. Added some old school servos but bought a new school receiver. Futaba compatible, at $20 it will at least get this plane ready to fly.

    I love Amazon. An idea, then a few hours later......... I bought this cable sleeving (3 sizes) for a few bucks just to isolate the engine ignition wire.

    Epoxy preferences?

    Hysol works better for me in most situations but I need to do some fiberglass work. Zpoxy finishing resin is not available at the moment. It appears. Any preferences out there for building up a fiberglass cloth/ epoxy layup?

    There's a couple of reasons why I don't fly July or August. It's too hot primarily and the heat is perfect for socializing at our neighborhood pool.
