    Thanks Tony, Just shoot me your mailing address and I'll get them out to you. The Robart axle is too short, so I have to use the Airtop Axles. Just turning down the threaded part, plus maybe 1/8" will do great! Thank you!

    Can one of you guys, with a lathe, machine down these Airtop axles, "just the threaded portion", to the same size as the Robart axle? The Robart axle is 3/16" and the Airtop axles are 1/4".

    The Morrisey is a great plane. The modern gassers are a great match for the older kits. I've also built quiet a few of the Sig kits in the past! One of my favorites is the Spacewalker.

    Thanks Mike! Yep, It's the Robart gear for the Balsa USA Cub. The Tailwheel assembly is from Sig.

    I agree! But you are doing "Way" more detail and work than me!! I do have a set of plans for the 1/3 scale Cub, but watching your build is making me rethink why I got them. It's a very ambitious build for my skills.

    Hay Snoop, have an extra cup of coffee this morning. :) I think Tony was asking why you used epoxy on the tail hinges, and Gorilla glue on the wing hinges. I use Gorilla glue on all Robarts!!

    Got the wood I needed to build the missing parts for the other wing panel, so I got started on it.

    Yep, it plugs right into the receiver and I use an aux switch to turn them on and off. It does work really well.

    Well, I decided to use the Sig Super X hinges. I've used them alot in the past and like them. I'll be using some music wire to pin them so I can remove the surfaces if I need to. Here's some pics.

    I hear ya!! I've gotten a few robarts off kilter. Gives a nice squeak to the surface. :confused??: I have a better time with the CA hinges :too-cool:
