I already checked through my K&S supply and can't find one that fits snug. I'll have to order one if I use the collar method.

Thanks Tony!! I've looked at that and decided to wrap that joint tightly with copper wire and solder it. I also thought about drilling a section of tube to slide over the threaded end and loctite it in place. Hopefully it won't expand on me if I do that. Nice job on the large scale rods by the way!

Worked on servo placement. I'm going with 1" horns and arms for the rudder and elevator. Got some Robart horns I've been holding onto for just a project like this!

Thanks dustybalsa!! I'm going to do the fin just as you said. Maybe I will just stick with a 5/8" fuse. Now I need to take another trip to hobby lobby:)

I gues BalsaDust is best to answer the question. The template sheet for the fuse parts has some that are 1/4" and the same parts in 3/8". I'm guessing I cut both and laminate them together?? I am pondering a 3/4" fuse. I also kept my verical fin at 3/8".

Thanks Snoop. And just for some clarification, I'm supposed to glue the 1/4" and 3/8" parts together on the fuse, to make it a 5/8" fuse, rite?

Just spoke with Cindy, over at Graphtech, and she said that their GT6030 is a 3/4 inch wing tube. The outer fiberglass sleeve is 7/8". That is the one I'll be ordering.

That should be a good build. I'm looking forward to building mine one day, with slight mods to the control surfaces! Great job on the build so far Snoop! Wish mine was that far along.

I've only seen this over on a build thread on RCU for the Goldberg Extra. I thought it was a great way to make new ribs. He said it takes a while on 3/16 balsa, but it does a good job. He used power point to make the template, then imported it to the Cricut. Don't know if Cad will work, as I...

I have not, but I'm watching another thread where some one is using one to replicate ribs. Programming isn't my fortay though!

I hear ya! Not mine either! Thought about investing in a Cricut, but I'll probably do it the old fashioned way!
