Scale 20cc DHC-2 "Beaver" Kit Build from Moustache Model Works

Decided to work on the horizontal stab. Pretty strait forward. Glued the frame without plans or pins. A tiny drop of thin CA to tack them in place once aligned then hit it with medium CA once satisfied with the trueness of everything. Well That escalated quickly!!!

Scale 20cc DHC-2 "Beaver" Kit Build from Moustache Model Works

I spent five years of my life working on the full scale version (three of them!). I’ve replaced skins, jugs.... engines! This is what I’m going to base it off of. I loved cranking those R985s up, low low idle. Nothing better!lots of good memories working on them with some amazing people.

Scale 20cc DHC-2 "Beaver" Kit Build from Moustache Model Works

I’m trying. Gotta wait for baby nap time. David included a mug for those who were in the startup program. Punched a lot of parts out with a baby in my lap until I got puked on about three times... that slows production ha ha ha!!!! Everything is cut very well and labeled great!

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I have some TPU, I need to start making tires for fun. Haven't even attempted to use the stuff yet. You'd think if a guy used the correct type of infill you could make an airless tire.I've wondered about the tires the military was putting on hummers or the space rovers. A guy could make an...

I concur!!! Only thing I'd want to attempt differently may be air foiling the tail for fun. But not necessary.

Some people love electric in this size though! But once that engine is tuned, five back to back 14min flights is great. If you were to do that with electrons.... lets see 2 6S in series 3300-4000mah and $100USD each x five.... is $1000USD... so if that is the cost to fly and the total cost a...

I wouldn't go electric. I love the flight times of gas. My 75" edge was electric, I vaporized a bullet connector, and the flight times were 4min... Just too much hassle to charge and invest in LiPos. So it's switching to gas as well. I use a lot of throttle :)

    GP-38 cc

So far my GP76 (two 38cc cylinders) has been flawless, but very little flight time on it.
