Big Torque Servos - ProModeler PDRS420BLHV 420oz Brushless servo!

Thanks for the info John. No reason to get carried away in the forums were we discuss lots of things like this. I’ve purchased several servos from you, I’ve requested specs from you as well in which you’ve provided quickly. Whilst we get information and compare servos online, most of us are...

Big Torque Servos - ProModeler PDRS420BLHV 420oz Brushless servo!

@jbeech what is the reasoning behind what appears to be ghost screws that go into the top of the case? Maybe clear up some speculation. This is an older thread, but still has me curious thanks. Been liking your servos so far, not a whole lot of time on them yet.

Top Flite RTC Giant Scale P40/Roto 85 FSI

I’ve already showed the beheamoth master this photo of my H9 P-40B .50 size. I made some poor Chinese insignias on it and painted my own sharks mouth. I like the large incisor fangs, I am partial to this look. Might have to alter the P40E I get from @stangflyer ..... It’s used to have a Saito...

Which reminds me. I don’t think I’ve ever announced it. But I just had my first kid, a little girl, just turned two months! She makes covering planes harder, never realized how many dangerous things I do that cannot be done near a helpless child ha ha. Take xacto blades for instance. I “kid”...

Might poke the bear with bringing up the FAA... I'm a little disturbed to hear that the USFS has told our club that they will start doing some major projects in a couple years, along with developing the area for more tourism. A town of 33k we saw 1.2 million toursits in less than 6m...

Are you using the clamps to attach the Teflon tubes? I see you can surgically take them on and off through the ignition lead, but what about exhaust exit? I’m asking too many questions to the yet to be done, or tune in next time post ha ha

I’ve always liked the view from the tail or wingtip. Gives a good perspective and doesn’t obscure the image with the prop wash. Maybe the coolest thing I’ve seen is a 360 view from the inside of a cub.

I used to have the smaller orange pheonix Strega (V1), no retracts, OS .46AX - It had a fast stall speed (no flaps) and was very fun to fly in the air. It could do a lomcovak at high speeds that was really fun to do. Almost topple end over end! It was flying fast all the time, I remember...

Worked on the turbo otter a bit. I 3D Printed the exhaust shroud and painted it silver. Started to cut a hole in the plane so it will double as a air exit. Need to finish trimming it and cover the bottom. Still waiting to hear back from the decal shop.

I built a wood crate to fit airline maximum dimensions LOL. Only ever used it twice... still have it. What a pain to lug to and from an airport. My wife said it looked like I was bringing a coffin with me ha ha ha!!! I even put a rod through the back half for some 3" plane tires so I could roll...

Did some more work on the super otter. First off those lines that were bothering me... I cheated and added some blue. Before: After: Worked on the tail a bit more. I needed an exhaust stack/shroud replica. So I drew one up and 3D Printed it. We will see how it works out. Need to paint it...

    110" TIMBER Assembly Thread

Finally covered the empennage back up. A little diagonal x brace and one cross beam seem to stiffen it up enough. The covering added a lot of rigidity but I don’t think the covering was designed to take this kind of load (twisting). This will suffice. I would say that this was an improvement...
