I don't know if there is such a thing but there is now. Brisket smoking since 1 am and i was thinking bloody Mary this morning, alas, no bloody Mary mix. So i invented a breakfast margarita. Added squeezed orange juice to a margarita and we have a winner. Brisket in the smoker, then...

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

Most of the future covering support is in. I will need an access panel underneath so I boxed out for that. On to the other wing.

    Hitec HS-5955TG

Looking at my servo collection as I build the Cub and I found a HS-5955, plenty of power but rated 4.8 - 6 volt. My batteries are always Fromeco Relions but they are 7.4 volt. New servo or will the 5955 be ok?

    Mini lathe (and mill) discussion.

Is that what you call them? Kind of like calling a bad football pass a back shoulder fade. Prototype it is, no more mistakes for me.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I have the fuse only of an Eagle II (?) that I built in the late 80's. I found a wing of a few years ago and made my son build it. He stopped when the wing was half covered and he met his first girlfriend. Finishing that project is on hold these days.

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

Tony, I found the Pam recommendation on the classic pattern forums or the scale builders website. Either way, it works well. These are a little soft, could be the 10 yr old finishing resin......... new epoxy enroute.

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

Tony, I've used Pam before, just forgot. I double checked or rather quintiple checked before i used it as it's not my mold. First try was perfect except I think I was too light on the hardener as it's still a little soft. It popped out easily. Second run is hardening much quicker so...

Flying RC planes with Tyler Perry

Tyler Perry is building a MONSTER development here in Atlanta at the old GM factory site. And I mean MONSTEROUS site. They bulldozed over a major sewer manhole last year at his site causing a major sewer backup at one of my big commercial customers. Typical of my company, onsite within...

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

More improvements today. Tony got me thinking with the brass tube axle suggestion. My design was leaning due to cable pressure so I made another pulley holder. The little hardware store nylon bolt rig works perfect.

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

Tony, I shortened the bottom. Shorter travel for shorter cable I found out. Can I get a complete photo of how you did yours? Obviously a bell crank.
