IMAC Carden Pro 124 Build, My Dream Plane

I would like to think I could do this, but the part that scares me is putting the wing and stab tubes in there respective pieces. The other thing is getting the sheeting to stay glued. I haven't built anything from scratch since I built my 4 star 60 and that was a long time ago :-)

I will bet you caught the developers as they were testing things last night. I do this from time to time just to do a quick check of something outside the development environment :)

    DLE 111 issue

Sounds like you may have an air leak that seals up after the engine warms up. Check the bolts on any area around the carb and reed cage, if the dle has a separate reed block. May want to take a look at the plugs also to see if they are getting fouled.

    To drain or not?

I run 98 octane in my 3W's with Redline 50:1 and always have someone ask why my engines smell different than everyone else. I love the smell of high octane and Redline in the morning or any time as far as that goes :)

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Why not put it on a servo? That is what I have done with all of my GS planes and it works great. Just run the rod through the firewall to a separate servo. It also gives you another way to kill the engine if you need to :)

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Yes I did. I took the gear out of the Extra this weekend landing on a VERY SOFT field. the right wheel hit before the left and just sunk in the mud. It will not be to bad to fix, just have to find the time :)

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Went out tonight for a friends maiden of his new Aeroworks Extra 260. The plane flew AWESOME with a DLE-111 in it for power. Then put three flights on the big Edge :) Great night of flying.

IMAC practice tips for new pilots.

My first round at my first contest I couldn't stop shaking the whole round! By the time the third round came I was just fine. It is a blast! Make sure you sit and do some scribing. It will keep you involved and also give you insight as to what the judges are looking for ;)

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Finished tweaking a Craftsman 10" radial arm saw I picked up this weekend off craigslist for $50! It had sat outside under a piece of plastic for the last month and we have had record rainfall so things were not working as they should. Took a couple of days soaking it in wd-40 to get it to move...
