    3D Shop Construction

I have my compressor running on 220 on a 20 amp circuit. It is just a Husky upright from HD and what a difference running it on 220 vs 110. Your fridge won't require a 30 amp circuit unless it is REALLY OLD. If you are using a window unit for a/c, run it on 220. I have a window unit from HD that...

    3W 106 strange behavior

I used hi-tack on the jug gaskets, but wanted to make sure that I could get the carb and reed block of if I needed to. I did use a drop of blue thread lock on each bolt this time when I reassembled the carb and the reed block assy.

    3D Shop Construction

24x28 garage, each wall on its own circuit, 2 sets of internal light circuits so if one pops a breaker I am not in the dark. separate 220 outlets on each wall and separate external outlets on 2 walls. Overkill? Maybe, but I know that I am not going to be losing power to more than one section if...

How long to let an engine warm up?

I have always let my engines run at a few clicks above idle for about 30 seconds before transitioning to a full throttle run to clean them out. They seem to be happier this way :) I know, they tell me so every time I fly :)

    3W 106 strange behavior

I actually pulled the carb off last night and went through it very thoroughly. Even pulled the aluminum caps out and cleaned everything and flattened the surface on the aluminum reed and carb blocks :-( I thought they were supposed to be flat already, but I had seepage around part of the reed...

    IMAC Basic Only Event

It was great putting faces to handles! I did take quite a few, but haven't pulled them from the camera yet. I will create a thread for the pictures when I do pull them.

    IMAC Basic Only Event

Man I wish it was closer! That would be an awesome event with a lot of learning happening. The IMAC event in Little Rock was awesome! Great people and some really good flying.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

As a retired Marine, let me shed some light on the situation. The current generation of older retired veterans had a totally different experience than what I had during my time in the Corps. I was fortunate to not have seen combat and I thank God for that every day. When you are put in the...

    3W 106 strange behavior

I will try to richen the low end just a touch and see what happens. I will also try to get some video if it is still acting up so everyone can see what is happening.

    3W 106 strange behavior

Definitely lean. No burble at all. Just like when the needle is to lean and you try to transition on the ground and it just sags. If it was rich it should be stumbling all over itself and that would be ok in my book. Rich lives to fly another day, lean will meet the green. Pretty cool, I just...

    3W 106 strange behavior

Yes, I have a tube running to the fuse. It is only in a knife edge from left to right canopy in. Right to left works perfectly.

    3W 106 strange behavior

And the saga continues... This is 3W 106 iB2. Straight and level or inverted flight runs fine. No sag on verticals and will idle all day long then go. The issue is knife edge from left to right. When performing a right to left knife edge everything is fine, but when you turn around and set into...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Delivered a plane to Wrightsville, AR yesterday for a friend and also flew in my first IMAC contes . It was a blast! Met a couple of other GSN members there. It was nice to put a face to a name, to bad my memory don't remember names to well. At he end of the day Iwas 8th out of 10 pilots which I...
