The I'm going out flying thread 2016

The reason I haven't been posting here is because I have been flying:-) 3 days straight and by the end of the day I have been wiped out. Lost track of how many flights, but went through almost 2 gallons of gas this weekend!

I have Wing Tote bags for my 42% and 35% planes and love them. I especially like the middle divider that floats between the wings.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

@sweetpea if you can wire lights and outlets, the breaker box is a walk in the park! The main thing is keeping the wires neat and organized inside the box. I am assuming you will be running 220 to some outlets, that would be the only thing out of the norm for you. I am not licensed and did all...

Well, maybe I will give it another gallon of my patience to see if the rings finally settle in and things stabilize :)

Yes it is. It is running better than it has and is flyable without a doubt, but there is just that lack of confidence in the carb. Sometimes it will respond just fine and other times it won't. Never had that type of problem with a Walbro, it either worked or it didn't.

Thank you Rob. It is really starting to come around. Thought I had the Tillitson figured out, but will be calling DA today to order a DA-100 card for it. Tired of messing with it every time I go out.

@Xpress where is your flying site at? That looks a lot like the Alpine area that was east of Santee. I lived in Santee for about 5 years and always ended up driving to a small field on base to fly. I was flying slimers at the time, fast slimers :)

    3W Ignition timing manual

Yes, 55 degrees on the green magnet and that should put the red magnet at TDC when you get a spark. If you have the grey magnet then set the grey magnet at 47 degrees and the red magnet should still be at TDC when you get a spark.
