The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I am trying to research this 16/32 Rx you are mentioning and cannot seem to find the redundant battery receiver. Do you mean just plug similar batteries into the receiver or is there a iso circuit? Do you have a part number? Speaking of buying a $1k radio, I remember going down this road...

Installed my receiver tray in my edge! I like it! I still need a better strapping system. I don’t feel like it’s holding it down tight enough.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

I knew it. Honestly Graupner had a couple growing pains when they started HOTT if I'm not mistaken. With that in the past, and I am also blown away by the features this radio has at the price it is being put on the market for. Very smart move for Graupner IMO. LOVE the "?" feature!!! WOW...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Those look pretty stout. It would take a lot of shear strength to pop one of those suckers off. I would be more concerned about stripping them by torqueing them down too much. I would even consider replacing the steel bolts with the aluminum one at a time so you don't have to fight the running...

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

You need a Crack Yak! super easy way to learn this is on a foamy. They are close and slow enough for you to make a correction. I like to tell people to do a slow roll, with every pass slow the plane down, You will then see what input you will need to keep the plane flying in a strait line (like...

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

Hear ya there! Quite a few years back I remember practicing on the sim, taking off, two quarter rolls off the deck to inverted, push to vertical and then a pop top. It was fun on the Sim.... one day I took off and without even a hesitation or provoking thought I was inverted... I scared myself...

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

Seen a video where a guy put a VERY long tailwheel on a mojo so it was a few inches past the rudder. acted like a spring when he bumped the tail to the ground... but it kept him from having to patch the rudder covering! lol! It is quite the rush getting the plane close to the ground. Some days...

They did a good job with the scheme! Could be a nice cheaper alternative to TH that might actually hold up!

I've been using the 5665MH. it has the cheaper iron core, and as I just found out, it's basically identical to the D-625MW at the same price. With the D series being slightly better. https://www.servocity.com/hs-5665mh-servo#258=24&259=25 I like the speed of that 5565! Might have to start...

Reading the AMA magazine this morning I found a kit mfgr Manzano Laser Works, they make short kits. http://manzanolaser.com/ http://manzanolaser.com/Just-Aircraft-Highlander--Scale-Postwar-Civilian-Monoplane-Model-Airplane-Kit_p_3102.html What caught my attention was the "Just Aircraft...

Those with RealFlight.... have we decided RF8 is the way to go and X is not? I've been through RF3.5 on a laptop ten years ago, and 5.5 on the desktop that has become glitch. Got a new X380 laptop headed my direction and I need this back in my life. :p
