Guy in our club has one. Broke it pretty good trying to fly it on a windy day. They no like the wind. Pretty sure there are free plans out there for it.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

So worked on the sukhoi some. When I put it together I didn't have any aluminum standoffs for it so I just used the ones I had made from steel on my scratch built cap232. Well I sold my Carden cap as just an airframe leaving me with a DLE 55 sitting on the shelf so I decided to pull the aluminum...

That's why I just stick with the hxt900 servos. If it locks up its only $3 lost and honestly I have only ever lost two of them and both happened during a crash where it stripped the gears on impact.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I ended up turning my up to 45% and it feels good there. Two nice flights on it today with proper end points set on the throttle. Fun plane for sure.

Yeah I figured mine should pull harder. How much expo are you running on the elevators? I have bumped mine from 35% up to 40% to hopefully help.

Yikes cartwheels are no good. With lots of PM's back and forth with stangflyer I have lots of things to look at on my DLE 55 to help it run better most of which should be solved with having correct end points programmed in. The sukhoi will be flying again tomorrow and I can't wait.

talking about witch feul you use for your engine

How exactly do you de-ethanol your fuel. On the fuel note though I run 91 octane mixed 30-1 with the same stuff I run in my echo weedeater.

Well after feeling like my sukhoi was lacking in power on Saturday and then watching my videos I determined it did not sound like it engine was spooling up to max RPM's. Pull the cowl off last night and what do I find, none other than the throttle arm still has over 1/8" of travel left that it...

    Trainer or Biwing

Trainer is well worth the money. Yes you will outgrow it once you learn to fly well but it will pay for itself with how stable it is.

It was a little touchy. I think it might have just been me being a bit nervous,

Flight #2 on the Sukhoi. I almost lost it around the 1.30 mark. Then my camera apparently has a weak battery so it cut out half way through.

OK here is the maiden flight of the PAU Sukhoi. Nothing fancy but it was fun.

I was impressed with the DLE I got from you though. I did the reed block and bowman ring mod to it before ever starting it. Fired it up and didn't have to touch the needles. Only once out of the 20 minutes of flight did it have a little bit of a mid range burble. I'm sure there is more in it as...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Maidened the PAU Sukhoi today. I like it. Not as much power as I was expecting but was adequate. Only thing I didn't like was the rudder. It KE really well but I'm used to my slabs in straight and level flight just go hard over on the rudder to kick the plane around. Do that on this one and it...
