Nice P&W R985! I've replaced several of those engines on the DHC-2 and quite a few jugs. Remember to index that 90deg to the right so the eagle is at the bottom :In_love:

    Making a few Changes

@GSNadmin Any thoughts to help the users out here? I know there must be a financial reason GSN is the new face of Model Airplane News online, but can we keep the users posts only on the RH column, no ADs or MAN? Just there. pretty please? I'm having a hard time keeping up to date with people on...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I cut myself once on an APC, I was just getting into nitro, first four cycle OS71? I was flipping it through admiring the cute powerplant... that's when it happened (yes not even trying to start it). I felt like an idiot, but learned a good lesson APC = RAZOR BLADE. Made almost a paper cut like...

    Alert! ??? RedWing RC???

Crazy, I have always had good service getting parts from them. When ever something was up about my order they always called me promptly. Pretty much everything is out of stock. :( I got my pushrods, wheels, misc tid bits from them. Sad to see this happening.

Nice. The V1 had fixed LG. Plane was slippery, would pick up speed in a decent. So approaches were long unless I did a stall turn on the downwind. Drag could be ok, you'll just have to fly it and see! Flapperons did not for for the v1 . Lost too much lift lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had the version 1 (orange) of this. ''Twas a hot rod. I as an OS 46 with a bisson Pitts muff. It landed pretty hot. Still added a small brick of lead in the nose to get the CG right. I remember being able to to a lumsevuk? with it. I flew the snot out of it until I gave it to another member...

So i figured out what was going on with my flaps. I had a 7ch receiver in which I had no option but to use a servo reversing Y-harness: http://www.headsuphobby.com/MPI-Digital-Miracle-Y--Servo-Reversing-Y-Adapter_p_1142.html It failed on one lead only - plug the servo into the other lead and it...

Got some gopro footage. not that exciting, but its a video! 3:35 dead stick while in a knife edge with no cowling, guessing air blew into the diaphragm. 4:28 bunch of short clips of passes

What ever I did it helped! Still a slight hesitation when slammed from idle to WOT. But the low is about 1 turn out, high is about 1 3/4. It's running reliably enough where It's time for a flight. [emoji2] I checked out the rcgf manual again and it said average mixture settings are 1 1/4 L and 1...

    H9 15cc Carbon Cub

With the wood 16X8 I had on originally the new needle settings are 1 5/8 L and 2 1/8 H, Still acts lean when at a idle to WOT, idle is on the high end. Idle will load up after about 15+ sec which sounds like it could be a tad rich. Tried to lean out the top end a bit, but then goes into a lean...

    H9 15cc Carbon Cub

Found the diaphragm lever was kind of low. So I adjusted it to flush and a smidgit more. This makes sense because my needles were 2 1/8 turn out roughly, so I'm guessing it wasn't getting enough fuel, hence why it would die from idle to WOT...

15x6 to 16x8 recommended. But it's cute watching it try I believe your on to something, I tried the larger prop to see if it would help my idle which it did but it probably compromises my transition. Just tried the extreme adj to verify rich or lean. I normally do the screw driver blade trick...
