The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Real slabs take a beating and keep on ticking. This one flew again the next day. Lots of scraps of balsa, some thin CA, some clear packing tape, and a new prop. Think I spent ten minutes repairing it and it still flew just as good.

Rob Holland can make a full scale do things you wouldn't think a full scale can do.

Yup I have one on a pipe in one of my 40 size profiles. It's a wicked combo.

All depends though. When the motor shows up I will see how it fits but if I cant get it where the pipe is hidden under the wing then I will not be going that route. It will just get a good ole OS 46fx or 46ax.

    Hello from Mount Joy,Pa

Welcome to the site. Like Bart said the knee knocking will go away with more flight time and every time you get a new plane they will start knocking again for a few flights.

Picked up this from a club member today. Pheonix models Strega. Guy impulse bought it a few years back. Said he got it out the other day to start putting it together and realized it's far beyond his flying abilities so he gave it to me. Designed around a 45-55 size two stroke nitro engine. A...

A few pictures from my session driving my dads black 05 Mustang GT. It does roughly 135-140 down the back stretch. Running down a little VW. I had just passed the three mustangs in the back of this picture on the previous straightaway. The black vette got by me soon after this picture. I...

The Spammers are getting out of hand.

I got rid of about 15 spammers yesterday morning before I had to hit the classroom for drivers meeting and drivers class and then spent plenty of time on track. Sorry if I missed more that may have popped up after that.

Sport 30% Edge 540 Pete Marshall Plans with Laser Cut Short Kit

What I'm doing with one of the planes I'm recovering is using latex paint. Just take a piece of scrap covering and put it on some scrap balsa. Take it to lowes and have them mix you up one of the sample paint jars. Only like five bucks. While you there also pick up a can of minwax Polycrylic its...

My brotha used to have a lightning. Badass truck made over 700 at the flywheel. Best he ever got was a 11.70 but he can't drive for heck so that was the biggest problem. Also had lots of other problems as it was a wrecked truck when he bought it.

Oh and please just say no to the LS swap. If you want a LS motor just buy and older Camero to put it in LOL.

Wow at my local track you only have to have a helmet if you break into the 13's though yes it has to be of a certain rating. Speaking of racing I will be throwing my dads 06 gt around VIR on Saturday. A day of fun on the road course. Only ever ridden in a car out there this will be my first...

Sweet I promise you she has more in her than that. My dad got my mom an 05 GT when that body style first came out. Only thing that was done to it was a set of flowmasters and a good shifter and I had it running a best of 13.73 on street tires. makes me miss my 89 LX though. 12.32 @ 109mph in the...
