    Depends on the size of the plane. I did a canopy for a 30% cap out of .020 and it was a little thin so for a 30% I would go at least .030

    So on the quality issues with this plane this is all I have to say as I received one through the GSN one year anniversary give away. My plane arrived in excellent condition minus the cowl. Replacement cowl came busted to hell and the second one arrived in perfect shape. This in no way reflects...

    Looks good. I do the same thing on servo extensions for my profiles so everything fits inside a 1/2" fuse tube.

    I have never done any foam sheeted wings but I want to learn and watching @Terryscustom do it makes it seem like its so easy a caveman can do it. One day I will come across a NIB Carden kit for myself.

    Have you looked into Doculam. Its a clear laminating film that is pretty dam light and goes on like regular covering. It is paintable. I could send you some if you would like.
