    Scale Plans built P-51

I will. not sure when that project will happen though as I have gotten really into 3D profiles. Plus I don't have the funds to afford the retracts and stuff that I would need.

    Scale Plans built P-51

When I do the T-6 I plan to build my own custom exhaust out of some aluminum tubing and sheet metal. Got a guy I work with that is an aweome Tig welder so if I fab up the parts I can get him to weld it all up for me.

I think you should plumb it in to work as the actual exhaust. I have plans to build a large T-6 Texan at some point and plan to do a custom factory exhaust exit setup.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Very much so. Without my hands I would be broke. Sucks even worse as its my left hand and I'm left handed. It's feeling better though as a couple hours after it happened the swelling started going down and I finally had to pop the blood blister so they would stop throbbing.

I can not stress enough proper prop safety. I thought I had done things right but I was wrong. Working on a 250 mini quad for a buddy. Now on my quads I have been setting them up so that if j power off my transmitter they go into failsafe mode which would be the motors don't run at all. I guess...

Are you refering to your servos? I always put both of mine on the same side. Look at my attached photo and you can see the output shaft of both are on the same side.

Looks good brotha. Don't be affraid of it. You will make mistakes here and there and the more you do it the more little tricks you will find that work for you. And just remember soemthing that works really well for me may not be what works for you it's all about finding what's easiest for you.

    3D Shop Construction

Yup I'm the same way. All switch plates will be level and every screw will be clocked a certain way. Comes from working for a guy who was extremely anal about things. He could just walk in a house and tell if a outlet was out of level by looking at it. When I'm done making up a panel I will...

Looks good but pull all those stickers off the wood. LOL Being and electrician it drives me insane when a fellow worker leaves the bar code sticker of a piece of conduit. I actually made a help get a ladder back off the truck one day to go scrape stickers off that he forgot when running the...

I would overlap at least half way if not a bit further. For the top leave a bit extra and just pull on the covering and keep hitting it with the iron. The heat will help pull it around the curve.

A week away from today. Can't wait. Gonna be remaidening a plane this morning after major repairs were done to it. Gotta make sure that motor is purring like a kitten. Don't want to waste time trying to tune it while at the fly in.

Giant Scale RC Why do this? Seriously??

While I only have two 30% planes and neither have I gotten into the air yet I have a good love for the smaller ones. Always a joy going into my basement shop and gluing sticks together. Its just a good way to forget about everything else. I was once asked by a fellow flyer why I would rather...
