    High Alpha Only!

Biggest tip that helped me for belly in hovering is that "low wing gets the rudder". I believe that tip came from Scott Stoops' book if I remember correctly. It's out of stock at the moment, but I would strongly suggest picking up a copy once they are back in stock.

The New Sport Pilot's Guide To 3D

Just a heads up that Scott Stoops book is sold out at the moment, but I did hear that he is going to update it (hopefully in the near future) and do another run of it. It is the best RC pilot book that I have read, 3D ot otherwise, and I agree that everyone should get their hands on a copy.

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

When I copied mine from the inferior site it hat a .gif file extension. I had to copy and paste it into a paint program, then save it to my desktop with a .jpeg file extension. Then it uploaded to 3DRCF without a problem. It took a few minutes to show up in my profile though...which threw me...

It's working good for me way up North. :)

Thanks Doc! Good to know that my lighter power systems will work on the newer EXP's. I got a bit discouraged after trying the 58" Extra...even though it all worked out good in the end.

No, I'm staying away from the Torque stuff if possible. It's been mostly great for me in the past, but the few issues that I've had couldn't be taken care of since they don't have a repair facility. Once you are out of warranty, the speed controls and motors are paper weights if you have an...

I hope it takes off! That other place was getting stuffy, and was kinda bringing me down. I look forward to the fresh start and lack of site politics.

    First Question?!?!

Howdy Joe! So how do you do the "Chuckle"? I have only gotten out flying twice this summer, so I haven't figured it out yet. I would like to try it next time I get out there though. Thanks!!! Greg

3DHS New Products and General Plane Info/Help for Fanatics

I think that is what the "fly low - off topic" thread is here. We should get it straightened out so that we don't end up with multiple threads like that other site.

That's good to know. With my 58 Extra I had everything biased forward, the pack all of the way forward, and it was till a little tail heavy with my usual motors. With the recommended Torque motor it was a little better, but I needed a huge prop on 4s.

I thought the same thing! I'm digging precision after getting an Osiris though, so I'm not one to talk. It really has helped my flying though.

I gotta get another one of these days. My last one was the 58" Extra. I just wish that the power systems were more of a direct replacement with the 3DHS airframes. I'm running all 3800-4000 4s packs, and I think those are a little light for the newer 60"-ish EXP's.
