    Cut out the exhaust to the edge so I can eventually glue the dummy radial to the cowl. Surface prepped the cowl for paint!

    Trimming the cowl up with the DLE20. Nothing too exciting here, made a nice cutout for the plug and marked where the cap rubs. If I secure the ignition lead off to the side I don’t have to cut anything. Not quite sure which way I want to go.

    Good work on the gear, that should work. I know there is about 914 posts and 92 pages to find it, but I did open up the strut mounts in the wing. The little square hole on top will give you the access. I put some epoxy and tri stock in there along with a new T-Nut.

    mounted the ignition module with dubro foam and velcro. Got the throttle linkage on. Note a dab of medium CA on the nut. Put the fuel tank in. Using a 8oz V2 fortitude tank. Not quite sure where my fill line will go, so I just coiled it up for now.

    Thanks for the kind words! And welcome to GSN! I have not flown the plane yet due to winter not allowing my flying spot to open up. I don’t foresee any issues with the stock thrust angles. I have yet to weigh the plane.

    Trying to figure out what the manual meant for the overlap being too big and it’ll be fine... ok, so it means like what my photo shows. Looks like it’s off, but trimming away the material shows that no corners were cut.

    The tail cone is ready for final fitting and to be painted. Used some scrap to test the yellow enamels I found. I like the one on top, although slightly brighter.

    On the elevator horn I made a little spacer from a servo horn to take away the slop in the linkage... the last thing I want is that piece shaking itself to death. Sanded to fit. I had to remove some more of the canted bulkhead to allow worry free motion of the elevator kwik link. Tuned out...
