I struggled quite a bit to find the best geometry for the ailerons. The ball links would bind against the servo arm and/or the control horn. Bevel to bevel is 55 degrees. Personal preference, but I hate working with monocote. I think Ultracote sticks better, and is easier to work with. A lot more forgiving. Just stay away from black ultracote if you can as it has a bad rep for wrinkling under various conditions. With that said, Monocote is tough stuff and light.- AKNick

Got to play with the ignition module, mount and tech aero a bit. added some 4mm foam to the bottom of the tech aero with welders glue, and slapped some Velcro on it. It will be Velcro’d next to the fuel tank. Next I decided to crimp a JST connector onto the tech aero to match the GP ignition...- AKNick

I looked hard at attempting to justify my need for these little guys, and honestly it would be tricky to make it work in the 89" Laser due to the structure surrounding the fuselage sides. It's very weak for that type of load on it and the entry hole is below the deck so access is tricky...- AKNick

I never seemed to care, too much repair glue to justify a lateral balance... these guys are just meant to be flown hard and put away wet anyways. LOL How does a guy do it anyways with motor offset and the inability to pick it up from it's neutral axis? too many variables to get it right so why...- AKNick

Skywing provides these neat little EC3 connector housings to be attached to the airframe for the Rx batteries. Since I prefer XT60 connectors I had to widen the housing a bit, remove the indexing notch, and widen the wire exit holes on the back shell. It’s all glued together and then screwed...- AKNick

Just placed my first order with McMaster-Carr... Somehow it got screwed up and they shipped it 2nd day air to Alaska... it was some Viton Fuel tubing and some screws for almost $40... ouch. Got some new goodies from Tim and NWRC. Was asking him about stand-off options for the GP76 and this airframe since SW or GP don’t provide any... After mentioning the blazing star 60 mount will work he shot me an image of some shiny NWRC parts he’d just received in for a cheaper option...- AKNick
