    3D 20cc Giles 202 Profile

I think I got it. Will try again in the morning. Created a viewport that is 34 x 185, brought the drawing up to 1:1 in the viewport and will print it again from there. I'm willing to expect 1/4-1/2" off but 3" is too much.

    3D 20cc Giles 202 Profile

Well I added a 6" scale to the plans and will be re printing them in the morning. For those of you who understand CAD this will make sense. We printed them scaled 1:1 but printed them from model space instead of paper space. Apparently in model space 1:1 doesn't equal a true 1:1 as my wing that...

Yeah that's what he exported them too but when I opened those in autocad it would not let me ungroup parts so it was a pain to lay parts where I wanted. I got it figured out now.

I appreciate it bud. Been struggling trying to properly convert it to a PDF for when it's time so I may hit you up when I get closer. Some of the double lines I'm seeing are where the wing portion was generated by the devwing software and then converted to a PDF. I used the import PDF feature...

Plans printed. 34' wide paper 185" long. they look nice. I see a few things I need to address with double lines that I couldn't see in the program but on paper they show up really well. I will build from this set though and once its flown make any changes that need to be made then it will be...

    3D 20cc Giles 202 Profile

So as I have talked about in another thread I have been working on designing a 20cc sized Giles 202 profile. The goal is to have a profile that will still perform well at low and slow like most all slabs like to do but I want it the wind up tight and carry energy unlike a normal slab. Most if...

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

That whole center section is the motor mount. It will be a 1/4" balsa core and two 1/4" x 3/8" hardwood rails then its sheeted on both sides with 1/16" birch ply. Once laminated it's incredibly strong.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

This is my Giles 202 profile I'm designing. It will be a 1/2" thick fuse with a 1/2" fiberglass tube in it. I still need to add a few diagonal bracing in it but it will be powered by a dle20 and will be plenty strong and dorkable.

Yes get rid of the ply and build it with a fiberglass tube down the middle and using balsa like a normal slab. I will post pics a bit later.
