    Recent relocate in eastern Tennessee

I run a 17x6 on my DLE20 for my slabs. That's the right prop for when trying to 3D at least.

Maybe so. I have a saito 100 and os 120 surpass nitro engines but to me on a scale plane it needs to be gas or electric. Got to imagine it's tough to clean nitro off of a fabric surface. I have found a couple other sets of SE5 plans that I like even more than these but they all have under...

Who knows really. The link says his weighed 8lbs and he flew it with a 61 two stroke. I have my dle 20 currently on a 8-1/2lb plane and its a touch anemic but it is also a 3D slab that I like ballistic power. Kinda why I'm thinking a G23 as its not going to make the power a DLE20 will make.

These are the plans I have found that I'm thinking of building from. Nick Ziroli plans so they should be good to build from.

That looks Badass. The one I'm looking to build says projected weight of around 8lbs.

Yeah I like the looks of it and the one thing I have noticed with some of the locals who have WWI birds if they still end up needing nose wieght so why not go with a plane that has a longer nose so as not to need to add extra weight. I have a DLE20 but plan to mount it on a 3D slab (you will...

Welcome. You will find us a very helpful group on here and hopefully we will find you just as helpful. I'm thinking of starting a scale build here in the near future so I will need you guys. Gonna print up a set of SE5 plans. Set I found looks like it would be a good match with a 20cc gasser.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

From now on for me any 40 size slab of larger will get sheeted on at least one side of the stab.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

He has had this kit for a while. Plans are available for it for those that want to scratch build it. The guy that used to cut the kits has talked about do kit runs of the swanny kits every so often though.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

I have never built the 65 but I would suggest sheeting both sides and opening the fuse up a little more. It adds a tremendous amount of strength. I had My mojo40 get serious flutter when doing a cash drop one day of the entire stab not just the elevator. Before I could slow down the entire right...

Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

And you really need to see the profile I built mike in person. The orange and purple look good in the pictures but in person it is so much better. Was my first experience using ultracote and I didn't wanna give the plane up after I finished covering it.

Sounds about right that the Chevy was following the Ford. LOL. Seriously it's a shame though when two classics get hurt but looks like y'all did a great job on the repairs.

It uses a single for the elevator but I could use two pretty easily as it has two control rods coming back to a single servo. Ailerons each get their own servo.

Lol I had planned to run them on the rudder and ailerons as I have three of them and the hitec in the pic will go on the elevator. I did have two 517's and I took the second out of commission as it had a mind of its own and when you brought the stick back to center it would sometimes make full...

Might I ask what went wrong with them? I ran all these for ten minutes last night on my servo tester and didn't see any glitches or anything but I would like to know what you had happen.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

After working on Christmas gifts for a while I got out an ARF that a club member had given me as he realized the wing loading was a little higher than he could handle. It's a Pheonix Models Strega 40 size with a 55" wingspan. First up is fitting the engine. Using an old os 50sx heli engine...
