    Not good, brass to steel solder joint. I cleaned it up a bit while I think about how to repair.

    The rudder control arm failed (probably soon after it was built) so i decided to finally expose the problem. Thin razor saw and away i went. Not bad actually, it should patch just fine.

    But I have some options! OPS Speed 60 YS 60 Jett 90 Now to compare mounting patterns, weight, headers, etc.

    I have always thought the pattern engine (OS 61 RF) on this plane wasn't the correct choice. Maybe a short stroke or the OS VF. Anyway the engine is frozen and pump may or may not be any good.

    My memory was incorrect I suspect and I did not have the batteries recharged. Learned that same day/ day before charging is best way to make sure.
