The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Okay so I have some sort of results from my primitive testing. I installed a new ignition cap and carb. left the extreme flight flowmaster filter in the tank. so that didnt change. I choked the engine, flipped and flipped and flipped (did I say flipped??). No fuel getting picked into the line at...

Lol birds of a feather my friend, just started installing some 4ft LED tube light replacements that bypass the ballast... no more buzzing and supposedly 65% energy savings woot woot. I can really see in the garage much better!!! So I replaced the plug cap in my dle35, and a new cm6 plug. If...

Thanks for the input guys, I like the fortitude clunk concept with less felt, metal, and a plastic retainer. Part# FORA1004 looking for replacement filters but they are hard to find. Felt is nice since it literally will suck up every drop and retain a fuel in a downline when the clunk is...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Well I did a little research and one fellow claims he was getting air bubbles through his Flowmaster Felt Clunk with it under 2" of fuel. As someone else mentioned when there is liquid flow resistance under a vacuum it will create bubbles. The best way I can relate is a boat prop spinning fast...

After about 4 years and 11-12 gallons with my 71" slick I think my plug cap is worn out on the DLE35. Pretty dirty inside and the spring and rubber cap seem compromised. I put it back together along with a new fuel tank and it will only run at idle for a short amount of time. It could be my new...

Don't think you can... maybe an Admin could if you don't like the way GSN ranks your activity here. @GSNadmin ? Maybe there's a way?

Been investigating my laser 73" "glitch" lots of forum research nothing definitive yet One thing I was reading up on with the tech aero. For those running A123 batteries, what voltage setting are you at? Mine has no plug jumpers so 6.6 but that's the highest setting. Curious if when the...

Post your servo, receiver, and battery setups

This is what I had done originally. Maybe I just shouldn't mess with it. It's not an issue to Y it off (as shown in lower pic) and put both ends into the same receiver is it? Its going into a Futaba R6208SB Rx, I presumed it's like a data bus, since futaba says you can put a Y harness to any...

Post your servo, receiver, and battery setups

Thanks for the info. I would also think that two 1100 A123's would share the load quite well. Might be worth a try because I have a Booma pin flag switch just sitting around. It would solve my question about having enough amps pumping through one pack for the rx and tech aero...

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

Does Graphtech custom make carbon tubes? The last Aluminum tube I replaced with a carbon I had to put a thin layer of epoxy on it and let it turn on my rod dryer. Cool trick in case you need a tighter fit. The rod dryer rotates at 5-9 rpm and leaves an even coat of finish on.

    IMAC Delro 2.5M Raven Build

LOL I need a red marker to point out what I'm looking out ha ha! Its on the inside of the fuse, on either side supporting the area around and mostly aft of the wing tube. definitely two different types of woven fibers. Not a big deal was just curious.
