Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build
Original plans show brass tubing between the landing gear connectors only, all else is wooden dowels. I thought complete steel tubing in cabin area encompassing landing gear to wing to engine would be better than wooden dowels so adjusted construction accordingly. Of course my landing skills...- dhal22

A look at how I attached some of the wood dowel to metal tubing. I put a screw deep into the wood but left an inch or less sticking out to protrude into the steel tubing and buried it in Hysol. Cutting the cross member away shows the screw.- dhal22

I finally cut the cross member in the door area away. I left it there during the fuse assembly to help keep everything rigid and square.- dhal22
