    Should be able to heat the solder defect away.

    Continuing work on the landing gear piece. Polished the blackened flux away to expose a few holes in the solder. Much easier to fill in than the actual soldering, different thickness metals are not easy to solder.

    I'm still lathe shopping but struggling on size decision. Your lathe seems decent size and apparently can cut tiny parts.

    More landing gear work today. Plans call for a bent sheet metal cross member, I chose to use 1/4" tubing.

    Mini lathe (and mill) discussion.

    I sent the eBay Sherline back to seller. In good working condition it was not. Would love to have a bigger lathe (and can afford it) but primarily just need to make small parts. I see the Taig is under $1000 with a power feed. Maybe not a power cross feed but again little parts. :ugh:

    Heavy head cold but snuck in a Basement ipa in on it today. The cold protested but my tastebuds were stronger.
