    3D Cbarnes 3D Slab Thread

The motor mount will be glued to the tube and wing with epoxy. The tube to fuse joint will be tacked with medium CA and then followed up with loctite GO2GLUE.

3D When is a plane used up?

I know the feeling man. When I restored an old kadet SR for a buddy the whole thing just about fell into a bunch of pieces when I pulled the covering off. Not sure how it stayed in the air.

3D When is a plane used up?

I'm with spats rarely ever do I get the heat gun out. Really only if I have a stuborn wrinkle. Not sure what it is about it but I have found the planes I shrink the covering with the iron on don't seem to have covering that starts sagging in the sunlight.

3D When is a plane used up?

Once you cover a few things it's not to bad. I have actually gotten pretty good at it (in my opinion at least) and now it's one of my favorite parts of a build. I will soon be stripping down a 33% hangar 9 edge540 and doing a complete recover on it. A thread will be started when it happens.

    70cc PAU Extra 300SP build...

I was drooling over the article in the model aviation magazine today for the 50-60cc PAU Edge. This looks just as nice.

Group Build, 20cc Profile ARF, Who's In?

Here is the fuse on my mojo40 fuse. It is an incredibly strong design. As you can see the tube runs from the motor mount all the way through the wing and to the tail. Lots of slab designs have diagonal bracing down the length of the fuse but the mojo is designed with vertical stringers. The...

Group Build, 20cc Profile ARF, Who's In?

Ok I can work on things. Working shut down right now so not as much time but I think I have a week or so to put this all together. Biggest thing if one is able to carry the plane as one piece is to not do removable wings. The mojo60 is designed as a one piece wing but can be built with...

Group Build, 20cc Profile ARF, Who's In?

All of these ideas could work. I currently already have two 20cc size profile kits I could build along with plans for others to scratch out. @Bartman what exactly are you looking for in fuse design. I could post pictures of different fuses I have built so others can see the different types of...

Feb ain't that far away. Hell you draw up the plans and I will scratch it out no problem.

Group Build, 20cc Profile ARF, Who's In?

Mojo60 of primo60 both will accept a dle20. The mojo has much nicer looking lines but a much thicker wing and it is supposedly pretty floaty. Primo has the same airfoil but it has been thinned so it doesn't float as much and is snappier. Me thinks Terry could whip up something quickly though.

Group Build, 20cc Profile ARF, Who's In?

Bart what terry is referring to is a kit OMP made a while back. It was a hybrid profile. Basically was a really skinny wedge shaped fuse. The nose of the 50cc version was pretty much just big enough to hide a 50cc engine inside of it.

If you had $1000.00 to spend on a charger and power supply, what would you buy?

Just pay cbarnes0061 $1000 to build you another badass slab and be happy with the charger you currently have. :-). I have the knock off version of the X4 and love it. I'm not worried about charging fast though. Even at the field I never charge any of my packs at more that 2.5amps.

No clue really. Birth parents get to make the choice of what family their child will go to.
