I plan to use the first canopy that I pulled for the original Cherokee, this was too heavy to use and it will work just great here. I have the first side pulled off and started building the second side

The photo below shows F5 and the rear most portion of the fuselage structure. You can see the difference of the original and what I plan to use. I plan to make the back half of the fuselage out of sheeted foam starting a F5 to the tail, all the lines represent how the hot wire will progress...

I found #0 x 3/8" button head steel metal screws at Lebanon RC flea market last year, they were packaged in 500 each bags so I bought a bag. Once I got home and compared the button heads to the pan head screws I used I realized that these screws would look better than the pan head screws I used...

In keeping up with dhal22 decided to work on the landing gear struts. The full scale struts are covered with aluminum sheet. Most of the photos I have looked at show that the covers had one form of ding so I wasn't too careful while I wrapped the aluminum. The top rail was added to attach the...

    Gas Engines - Maximum Altitude?

My home elevation is 825', I fly at two fields, the lower elevation is 1155', the higher is 1700', my engines run the same at each site, considering i run the engines on the ground at home and fly up to 400' (wink, wink) the Walbro carb can easily handle 1300' change in elevation.
