@Snoopy1 and I found put that going past 5.25” the plane doesn’t handle well. Post stall is not that good, and just a tad more touchy. FWIW 5-5.125” is ideal. With fuel it doesn’t change much if your fuel tank is backed up near the rudder servo.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Ive heard the CG on the Flitz2 can make a huge difference. 68mm is preferred I guess. Page 55 or 59 on RCG has a bunch of photos of pod layouts on the flitz2. It all depends on the battery choice. I’m considering the side by side and canted a bit using a couple triangle shims. This will get...

Feels great to get a project like that done! I have three projects coming to a close, pretty excited to get that monkey off my back and fly them around! I love building.... but I love flying... It's a vicious circle!

I used an aftermarket arm from VVRC. It gets tight in there with the choke and the throttle - no doubt. glad you figured it out.

Finally a dream come true. A real 1.5m DLG Flitz2, Oleg on R C Groups gave me a deal on his last one in stock that I couldn’t pass up. Also found put that he designed the Falcon DLG...pretty neat! @BalsaDust I’m joining you in the Flitz club! I’m going to call this one captain America! here...

Got out and flew the timber after my counter balance repair. Flies great still! I’ve been trying to get my flying buddies to take the controls and fly circles, but they are too scared to fly something so big... I put in a tiny bit of flaps, and 1/4 throttle and showed him I was flying with just...

Scale 20cc DHC-2 "Beaver" Kit Build from Moustache Model Works

Decided where to put my tech aero. Under the right front seat. Made a relief exit hole in the front and a hole in the floorboard to run the wire underneath to the Rx. Made relief cutouts for the elevator and rudder clevises. I’ve been clear coating the cowling, ended up with a bad run on my...

I wouldn't trust that servo anymore! Sounds like its not even getting power! I would remove it. You could check the connector crimps, and take the servo apart to look over the internal wiring. Sounds like you've isolated it well and ruled out everything else.

Looks nice! I wouldn't worry about weight in the tail. I have 6oz of weight in the tail as it is.

    I'm going/went flying 2021 thread

Does this happen only after a first flight? Where is the servo mounted? Is it getting too hot (eg; exhaust muffler)? Can you hear the servo - like if you were to try and move it by hand is it locked? If it was an electrical issue I wouldn't think it would reveal itself like you are talking...
