Dangit. I’d call them to make sure you get one. Emails can get overlooked and it’s hard to get the exact answer you are looking for.

Quite a few people have had this issue. I don't know if anyone here has one though. I've heard of most people contacting Horizon and getting a replacement no problem. Can you fix it with canopy glue? Post a picture.

Scale 20cc DHC-2 "Beaver" Kit Build from Moustache Model Works

Ordered a bunch of dummy radial fronts from Park Flier Plastics. They are about $5-$8 a piece depending on the size. I have another project that will use the 5-3/4” this one with the 6” and an 8” because I just wanted it ha ha ha. The 6” fits all the way in the front of the inside of the cowl...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Sebastian from RC Europe. Some have had bad luck with the guy, but they worked with me on shipping to the US. I think they had a sale too when I ordered mine which helped persuade me on justifying the shipping and overall cost. If you do buy from them. Contact them first and confirm it’s in...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I'm not sure if this is sad or insane. I cannot wait to finish my Otter and Beaver so I can build a Goose. The otter needs some wing work, and I need to get the iron back in the fire to keep the Beaver build going... but this Goose... So neat, the designer I respect a lot. He's very informative...

It's no different than our gas motors yeah? I'm sure it would be fine if everything was tight and locktite was used. I just removed the blazing start mount last week from my 75" edge and it was pretty hard to remove with blue locktite.

Good try, and even better to know when not to go up even when you really want to. Sounds like you had some sort of entertainment.

Best result is to get a tapered reamer. That way you do not drill the hole off and ruin the prop. https://www.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVSEARCH=prop+reamer edit: the XPWR 40cc has a 10mm shaft Also I have to ask, you did get and Electric prop, not a Gas right?

Just giving to a friendly hard time buddy. You've tangled with the ground a lot with your laser and still came out on top. . . with a repair or two.

91" SkyWing ARS 300 Assembly Thread

Okay, I'm convinced. Ordered two cyl temp telemetry sensors for my Futaba 18SZ. Not sure what I'd do without TowerHobbies coupons to make it happen. Also ordered a HV Tech Aero, curious if it gets rid of that little tiny hesitation I'm hearing and cannot seem to tune out from idle to WOT. All...

Call me crazy, but I think my left/front cylinder is pinkish. I must have a overheating issue. It's tuned well in my opinion, and dies like the throttle cut was hit. Seems random, but as this puppy breaks in the engine gets rich, so I lean it out to compensate as the rings set. Doing so the...

Scale 20cc DHC-2 "Beaver" Kit Build from Moustache Model Works

quite! It was supposed to be 6-32, the prototype beaver used a dubro aileron linkage assembly which is no longer offered by DuBro so in production the factory opted to source their own parts without approval it sounds like. What bothers me the most is the threads are cut VERY shallow. There is a...

Scale 20cc DHC-2 "Beaver" Kit Build from Moustache Model Works

Someone else caught a little issue with the provided rudder control horn not being 6-32 threads. I ordered a bunch of hardware to see what may work. 3/32” horn bracket will slip over the unthreaded portion tightly, and thread on. It does seem a little weak to me. The aileron horn set is a little...

So very close! The second pic needs the little piece that the tailwheel sits under. My design has a gap I fit the OEM bracket into. For some reason I am having a hard time converting tenths of an inch into mm's, The scale on that caliper has me trippin. :ugh:

ended up ordering the 6" version from Park Flyer Plastics, along with two 5 3/4" radials for another project, and an 8" just because it was late and... Pretty cheap. whoopsie!
