BalsaDust is spot on. Humidity changes. There is different type of paper out there that is less prone to this. I forget the name of it, but it’s slightly transparent too... and more expensive. It’s a little hard to move your mindset when building to trust the wood. But that’s what one has to...- AKNick

Working on the wing. Not sure why, but building over these plans kinda bother me because the variances in accuracy over the laser cut wood. David mentions this in his manual. So you use the plans as a guide and trust the wood. I’m not used to this. There are steps in the manual with pictures...- AKNick

The rudder spar tapers from the bottom up, and right before the counter balance it does another taper to meet up with the counter balance... very tricky... to level/weigh down because of this. Everything seemed to fit just great... until I glued it. Thanks for the input.- AKNick

Yippee! What the postman brought
My dad actually made this one. Bought the copper hole covers online - this keeps the squirrels from getting in. Cedar boxes from his old deck. There is even a pivot point on the front panel with a pin, so you can look at the nest. Clever guy ha ha. He made like sixty of those things and sold...- AKNick

Rudder. Couple items of interest. Rudder skin placement, note that it’s off set a bit. The manual give you instruction how to place it. A little tricky. Once again. I created warp in the trailing edge. Had to unglue and try again. Might want to use wood glue, or something that gives you working...- AKNick

Put together a DreamFlight ALULA glider. A flying buddy has been hitting some lift around hills and beaches and really sparked an interest. So I had to get one. Did a little paint scheme on it. Think it turned out not too shabby. Never flown a flying wing yet!- AKNick
