    Soldered the final rudder connectors. I used a c.f. rod to hold the little brass tube parts down. Very little heat and these were done.

    I use a side grinder to shorten flanges. Use primer to help the bond.

    Not easy to find a straight, even grain 1/4" dowel. I believe that one part of the original kit. The smaller size bent much easier that the 3/8" that I've used elsewhere on the build.

    I realized I have a rudder to build. A 3/8" end mill makes for quick work.

    The cross brace material is thick wall tubing so I bored out some dead weight.

    3/16 tubing looks better than 1/4" tubing. I think i can live with this. Acetylene bottle is almost empty plus I want some heat dam product to keep the other soldering joints protected so will finish this early next week.

    Mostly the entire upper cabin/ wing area is (currently) only supported by 2 window pillars. Side to side sway is almost zero but still there. The little cross braces will be plenty.

    Toned it down and had a pale ale at a Mexican restaurant last night. Sweetwater 420.
