Gotcha! Looking good though! As for the Ahi, The company is here in California, USA. I have their Alula and love it. Very good company! No point in sending it across the pond twice LOL!

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Not sure if you guys will be proud or disgusted with me... Yesterday I got rid of six planes. I have a saying that a flying buddy always reminds me of, and this is no exception "RC Planes. . . They come. . . and they go" Really meaning that you gotta let them go. Whether it's the dumpster, to...

Not even sure if it's an option for me to see it, but Clouds would have been my viewing demise. Thanks for sharing, was curious what the fuss was all about.

Dial in about 20-23% down elevator to flap mix. I'm a die hard for throttle/airspeed management over mixing, but with these barn door flaps, it cuts your down elevator input workload down immensely, but yet still requires input depending on other factors (ie: speed, throttle, AOA). This plane is...

Nice! Couple things to think about. You should use Silicon fuel tubing, not tygon. Tygon does not stretch and defeats the purpose. I dont see any barbs, not sure what's keeping the tubing on? Your tail spring appears more compressed than mine. The tail wheel bracket bolt is basically strait...

Video!! My maiden video didn't record, so this is maybe the fourth flight with the DA35. It'll do just about everything you throw at it. I really need to play with the rates/expo as I am chasing my rudder inputs. I was just starting to do that when the Black Bear interrupted me.

You need tighter springs. The best steering response and deflections I had was with my 2" tailwheel bracket design. I should dig that one up and post it - It just didn't work for the beaches I was flying off of. I learned that a loose spring will null your control inputs. My current design...

Music wire would be too stiff. You could try the silicone fuel tubing method.

Nice flight report! Bravo! Glad it works for you! FWIW the ball links below the top plate gave me a little better breaking torque. Those leaf springs move back and forth on each other, I foresee that tape giving up eventually. Also the flex in the aluminum will probably pop them off as well...

What size packs? Also what C rating? I hear they get puffy quick with a too low C-Rating.

    GP-38 cc

On my GP76 I'm using a HV IBEC unregulated, so it's self regulated to 8V. I tried the tech aero with a 6.6v battery unregulated and it just showed what the input voltage was... so rest assured if it dips lower than 8V as the regulators just keep the it from over voltage.. I think the older GP...

Neat plane - No Doubt. The LE devices move with the flaps from what I could see - they are not fixed. Usually the inlet to outlet is 1:2 on LE devices. Their main purpose is to allow a higher angle of attack at stalled speeds. I'm curious to see how they work in the Shock Cub when flying. Other...
