    i'm trying to force myself to do this. i can opt out and go pull-pull on the rudder and split the ailerons which is something i've been wanting to try since i first heard about it in Pistolera's Krill thread but balancing servos is a necessary skill in giant scale so i might as well get to it...

    Finally pulled the clamps off and the landing gear is ready to go back to it's rightful place on the fuselage. Firewall next, then covering.

    The tubes are tight in the fuselage thanks to the epoxy and the stabs are tight on the tubes so all is good in the world again. A little packing tape on two of the tubes helped tighten the fit but for now the stabs are partially removable. Thanks for all of the suggestions!

    thanks Terry, the comparing/matching technique was what I was going to try first and I'll have to check out the amp meter you mentioned. i read through some pretty complicated techniques but what you said with my Aurora 9 should be pretty easy. I was going to swap the two servos on the rudder...
